As we moved forward, I made a vow to not take anything for granted. Family came first, and I would always act with courage when it came to Mayo’s health, standing fiercely beside her as her advocate.
Though the challenges were widespread, it became evident that every test had strengthened our unity, and every step ahead would be taken in love and compassion. For when faced with the unknown, sometimes what can truly shine is the light of togetherness.
